On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Art-ma is proud to unveil a new artwork that encapsulates the significance of this sacred day. This is the fourth painting in an exclusive collection of the five elements – Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Space – for Art-ma.
Traditionally, Earth Day represents the coming together of humanity to demonstrate its support for the environment. This year, however, Earth Day assumes even more significance. Humanity is fighting for not just the environment, but also its own survival. Forces beyond our control are compelling us to dig deeper and find ways to sustain life – not just our own, but also that of the natural world.
This Earth Day, as the outside world remains out of bounds, we must look inwards to find harmony and balance. This will help us to then look beyond ourselves and find the same harmony and balance with Mother Earth, who has been telling us something that we are now finally listening to – our soul’s health is intrinsically linked to our planet’s health.
There is nothing stronger than the power of collective consciousness. As the world suffers together, now is the time to unite and pray for Earth to heal. Earth Day is a reminder that we are all connected, now more than ever, and we must work together to protect the environment we share. For a glimpse of what this can do, just look outside your window at the clear, blue sky and listen to the calming sounds of birds chirping uninterrupted. There are little or no cars and the pollution has drastically come down around the world.
The old way of working ceases to exist.
This Earth Day, let’s pledge to start caring about our planet again. Unknowingly, we have already taken that first step and have started living more mindfully. But let’s make it a conscious effort once this challenging time is behind us.
